Richard “Rich” Baron
Richard “Rich” Baron, 92, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Saturday, December 4th 2021 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born September 5, 1929 in Ambridge, a son of the late Charles and Blanche Baron. After Graduating from Ambridge High School, he enjoyed a 38 year career with American Bridge Division of United States Steel while attending Geneva College and Duquesne University. He loved music and had a 19 year musical career playing drums in local orchestras. After retirement as a Sr. Financial Analyst with ABD Construction, USS, he considered himself fortunate to work on the staff of the Tri-State PGA for 10 years and as a Monte Carlo Dealer for another 10 years. His favorite pass times over the years were golf, poker, and other gaming activities along with vacationing with family. He also cherished the wonderful friendships he was able to make though his poker nights. Most important of all to him, was the love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Baron, a daughter Gayle Fox of Madison, OH; a brother Raymond Baron of Deland, FL, and a brother Donald Baron of Center Twp.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Paul Mutscheller of Marion, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law: Charles & Candy Baron of Stephen City, VA; a sister-in-law Lois Firich, Hopewell Twp., and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
As per his request, all services are private. He was cremated for joint burial with his beloved wife in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
