Dorothy Alger

Dorothy Alger 102, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Manchester Commons, Erie, PA.  She was born in Shenandoah, VA on January 11, 1918 the daughter of the late Noah and Victoria Comer. She was a longtime and active member of the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Alger, two sons: Roger and Roy Alger, and 11 brothers and sisters: Gilbert, Nelson, Melvin, Charles, Edwin, Elby, Wayman, Merle, Elva,  Lorene and Frances. She is survived by her son: Rex and Donna Alger of Erie;  Grandchildren: Brent (Davina) Alger, Wade (Alanna) Alger, Josh (Noelle) Alger, Ashley (Ryan) Diehl, Tyler and Kelsey Salisbury ; 9 great grandchildren: Josh Keagan, Kylie, Andie, Ethan, Blue, Jolene, Vivian, Harvey, and Brooks;  a Daughter-in-law: Barbara Alger; 2 brothers: Clark and Durwood Comer. She was also expecting a great great grandchild.  A private service will be held for immediate family only.  Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Aliquippa.
