Anthony V. Lioi
Anthony V. Lioi, 90, of Moon Twp. Passed away on February 21, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, on November 13, 1927 the son of the late Joseph & Mary (Polozzi) Lioi.
He was an 18 year US Army National Guard veteran serving in Germany for two years during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Tony’s Sunoco in Moon Twp. & Tony’s Tastee Freeze. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Moon Twp. A life member of the Coraopolis V.F.W. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edythe (Ehalt) Lioi. Six children: Anthony (Kathy) Lioi, Patricia (Ray) Langer, Robert (Anita) Lioi, Charles Lioi (Rick Tamlyn) John (Tracy) Lioi, and Thomas Lioi; 14 grandchildren: Michelle (Christopher) Read, Michael Dupain, Melissa (Joshua) Balcerek, Jared (Ashley) Lioi, Charlene (Dixon) Revell, Andrew (Mallory) Faherty, Christopher (Deirdre) Lioi, Matthew, Kelsey, Brandon, Tyler, Megan, Jenna, and Brittney Lioi. 2 step grand-daughters: Kathy & Judy Langer. 8 great grandchildren: Sydney & Amelia Balcerek, Dylan & Kylee Read, Henry & Letty Revell, Sutton Lioi, and Mason Lioi. A brother, Joseph (Mary Lou) Lioi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Pasquale Lioi, 2 sisters: Lena Graziano and Mary Groves, and a great granddaughter Aubrey Read.
Friends will be received on Saturday February 24th from 6-8pm & Sunday from 1-3 & 6-8pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10AM in St. Margaret Mary Parish, Moon Twp. (Everyone please meet at the church) Interment and military honors will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Moon Twp.
