Helen Hazenstab

Helen Hazenstab, 83, of New Sewickley Twp., died on February 8, 2018 in Cranberry Place. She was born in West Aliquippa April 8, 1934 the daughter of the late Michael & Helen (Zubko) Tirik.

Helen was an active member of St. Felix Catholic Church, Freedom. She volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels & the Special Olympics. Helen was a homemaker at heart; she enjoyed cooking & loved to eat. She also enjoyed gardening, bingo and watching the birds in the back yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 Yrs., Jerome W. Hazenstab, Four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by five children: Jerome V. Hazenstab, Kathleen Hazenstab (Nancy Griffin), William Hazenstab (Debbie), James Hazenstab (Rhonda), Thomas Hazenstab (Sue). Six grandchildren: Brett Hazenstab (Pat), Stacy Conlin (Rick), Cortney Hazenstab, Abby Hazenstab, Ray Hazenstab & Tyler Hazenstab. Nine great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday February 13th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Rochester (502 Adams St.) Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in St. Felix Catholic Church, Freedom. (Everyone meet at church) Private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Freedom.
