Mary Ann Stickles
Mary Ann Diaddigo Stickles, 77, of Raccoon Township left us to go and dance with her parents on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Always one to love new adventures and travel, Mary Ann started her final eternal journey surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born Mary Ann Diane Diaddigo on August 15, 1940, daughter and oldest child of the late Michael and Mildred Diaddigo. She met her husband, Stanley, while attending Aliquippa High School, where they graduated in 1957; they were married on September 22, 1960. They settled in Raccoon Township five years later, where she served for 33 years as the Municipal Secretary. She loved to travel, drinking wine across four continents and visiting places all over America as well as in Canada, Central America, Europe (she loved Italy), and Asia, and enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and many friends. To most everyone, especially the kids in the local Boy Scout Troop and Explorer Post, she was simply “Mom”.
In addition to her loving parents, she was preceded in death by her two “second mothers”, her aunts Antoinette (Dutch) and Margaret. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Stanley; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Celinda, and Steven and Bobbie Jo; her sister, Judith; her two brothers, Michael and Joseph; and her 7 grandchildren, Kenaniah, Nicolette, Corielle, Leysha, Josiah, Jeremiah and Daryel.
Her family would like to commend and thank the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at the Heritage Valley Critical Care Unit and at the Good Samaritan Hospice for the wonderful and tender care they gave to Mary Ann, and for the compassion and care they extended to her family.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 29th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Huntsman Funeral Home in Aliquippa. Service and burial will be held at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, December 30th at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 1000 Dutch Ridge Rd. Beaver, Pa 15009

We met Mary Ann at her granddaughter Nicolette’s graduation and knew instantly what a beautiful loving person she was. Our heart and prayers go out to her family. May her memory be eternal.
