Sara M. (Grove) Haught

Sara M. (Grove) Haught, age 88, of Sewickley, PA died on July 4, 2017. Daughter of the late Ralph R. and Pearle (Thomas) Grove. Wife of John W. Haught; married 69 years. Dear mother of Elaine (David) Thomas and John D. (Charlene) Haught. Grandmother of Christopher (Nicole) Thomas and Meredith (David) Progar. Great-grandmother of Nora Progar and Damian Thomas. Sister of the late Alene Clark and stepbrother Carl R. Grove. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Sara graduated from Center Township High School, Rogersville, PA, senior class (president) 1947. Sara is a member of the Aliquippa Methodist Church and a long-time member of the Westmoreland Shrine No. 18 PA ORDER OF THE WHITE SHRINE OF JERUSALEM. Sara worked daily on picture puzzles, played cards and weekly bingo with her friends. Her warm smile and devotion to family and friends will be long remembered and greatly missed.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sara’s name to the Sturgeon Health Care Center, 1000 Masonic Dr., Sewickley, PA 15143-2359. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
