Janice Elaine (Rhodes) O’Masta

Janice Elaine (Rhodes) O’Masta, 76, of Clinton died on February 26, 2016. She was born on September 13, 1939 on the Rhodes family farm in South Huntington Twp. Janice graduated from South Huntington Twp. High School in 1957 and was class valedictorian. She attended California State College and Carnegie College in Cleveland, OH. There she earned her MTAMT and graduated at the head of her class in 1960. She then went to work at West Penn Hospital. She married John O’Masta in October of 1960 and moved to Montgomery, AL and worked as a Medical Technologist at the Jackson Hospital & Clinic for 5 yrs. In 1966 she returned to PA to work for the Red Cross Blood Service of Beaver Valley for 33 yrs. Janice and her husband John both had Private Pilot Licenses. They have been to all 50 States and many Canadian Provinces and many of these visits were done on their own motorcycles. Janice and John also traveled around the globe, visiting Tahiti, The Cayman Islands and most recently, a river boat tour of Europe. Janice loved driving her Corvettes and peaceful walks with her dog, Nibs. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Francis O. & Elizabeth (Marsh) Rhodes and her brother Eugene F. Rhodes. All services are private. The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Aliquippa is in charge of arrangements.
