Michael “Mick” James Winkle

Michael “Mick” James Winkle, 51, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away on June 20, 2019. He was born in Rochester, on July 15, 1967, a son of Calvin and Marilyn (Landis) Winkle, of Rochester.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Winkle; his son, Chase Winkle; step-children, Darrin (April) McClean, Cody (Kaitlyn) McClean, Rochelle (Cole) Jackson; his grandchildren, Jacob, Cole “Bean”, and Bentley Jackson.

He is also survived by his sister, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Bable; his nephew, Jeffrey Bable II; his niece, Taylor (Fiancé, Tyler Adams) Bable; his mother- in- law, Mary Ann Young; his father-in-law, Thomas (Diane) Young, Sr., sister-in-law, Bonnie Vukich, brother-in-law, Thomas (Lynn) Young Jr.; nephews, Derek Vukich, Gunner and Archer Young and also by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Willow Winkle and Elder and Edna Landis; and his nephew, Eric Bable.

He was a 1985 graduate of Rochester High School. A lifelong resident, Mick enjoyed hunting, boating in the local rivers and the Kinzua Reservoir and spending time at camp in the mountains.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through Mick’s courageous battle with cancer.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Rochester (502 Adams St.) where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday with Rev. Martin Galbraith, officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
