C. Steven Goehring
C. Steven Goehring, AKA “Swap”, 67, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with respiratory illness.
Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 2, 1959, Steve was the son of the late Clifford and Rose Goehring.
For 45 beautiful years, he was the devoted and deeply loving husband to Michelle Goehring.
Steve dedicated over 40 years to the airline industry. He began with Allegheny and continued throughout the transitions into American Airlines. He worked as a dedicated, skilled Fleet Service Agent.
He was also known for his incredible work ethic and jack of all trades talent which extended to family members and friends, wherever there was a need. He thoroughly enjoyed these maintenance projects. If something was broken or needed to be fixed, Steve would always find a clever way to get the job done. He could also be counted on as the family and friend’s “mechanic.”
Outside of work and his projects, he was an avid football fan who made sure he never missed a single Pittsburgh Steelers game.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Goehring; his mother, Rose Goehring; his father-in-law, Richard LaRock; and his mother-in-law, Verna LaRock.
Above all else, Steve was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Goehring; his three siblings, Mark Goehring, John Goehring (Darla), and Greta Rutkauskas (David); his four children, Joshua Goehring (Jessica), Nicole McVicker (Christopher), Stephanie Goehring, and Richard Tyler Goehring; his eight cherished grandchildren, Jaycie, Javon, Mariah, MaLeah, Cobie, Santino, Carmella, and Landon; and his great-granddaughter, Brielle.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 2nd, from 12-2PM and 5-7PM, with service immediately following in The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Heights Rd.) Private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: The American Cancer Society and/or St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
