Marian L. McGinnis, age 93, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the Masonic Village. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert P. McGinnis, Sr.; her parents, Margaret (McGrail) and Joseph Hitt; and her siblings Marlene Rooney, James Hitt, Rita Eichner, and Carol Hitt. Survived by her sister Catherine Depp and brother Joseph Hitt.

Graceful, warm, and always beautifully put together, Marian was the kind of woman who was ready for anything and embraced each day with a joyful spirit.  She loved being surrounded by friends and family and had the remarkable ability to find the best in everyone.  Known for her sweetness, warm smile, and easy, infectious laugh, she touched countless lives with her kindness.

Family was the center of Marian’s life.  She leaves behind five children: Carol (Neal) Hurley, William (Donna) McGinnis, Robert Jr. (Claire Hatten) McGinnis, David (Mary Jayne) McGinnis, and Patti (Rob Gifford) McGinnis; along with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and somehow made each one feel special. Marian was deeply cherished by her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, November 23, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Township (1522 Coraopolis Heights Road).   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glenfield at 10:30 a.m. on Monday November 24, 2025.  Committal and entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Moon Township.
