Elaine D. Poliziani
Elaine Poliziani, 77, of Moon Township, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in St. Clair Hospital. She was born in Aliquippa, PA on November 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Mary and Steve Domitrovich. Elaine was a graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in accounting. This lead her to own and operate her own business, Poliziani Accounting and Tax Services. She was a longtime member of the Moon Township Garden Club where she helped publish the newsletter for years. She liked to stay active working, and the hours that she spent at her computer crunching numbers were amazing. She loved to, and she was not shy to, give anyone her advice. She enjoyed traveling with her husband for many years. Elaine was a member of Impact Christian Church, as her faith was very important. She was a Sunday School Teacher and loved participating in the Women’s Bible Study Group. She also found great joy in entertaining. Cooking and having people over to her home were some of her favorite times.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters: Nancy Richards and Mitzi Lapcevich.
She is survived by her beloved family: her husband Bill Poliziani; her daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Nick DeCecco; her grandchildren: Sophia and Nicholas; and her nieces and nephews: Ron Richards, Krissy Schoelkopf , Renee Desper , Linda Wilamowski, Nick Lapson, and Robin Lapcevich.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 2 ~4pm and 6~8pm in Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Moon Township. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10am in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aliquippa.

Dearest Aunt Lainey,
. I would need more than this tiny comment section to write all of my fondest most cherished memories with you! I will be forever grateful for your love, support and leading me to Christ❤️
You will be terribly missed but will never be forgotten. My family will cherish you, your love and kindness forever . Have fun with Grandma Mary, Aunt Nancy and Mom! What a reunion it is💞

Lin darlin and the Wilamowski clan❤️
So sorry to hear about your mom, Angela. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Dear Mr. P. and Angela,
I am terribly saddened to learn of the loss of Ms P. My childhood had many bright moments because of her! I remember her cooking every Sunday evening. I remember her stressing over ever detail to make sure Ange and I had everything we needed. I LOVED spending time at your house! I remember her teaching Sunday School and VBS. I fondly remember the time that we made our own stationary with white paper and envelopes and lots of different stamps. Ms. P. will always be so special to me. I can hear her voice calling, “Gigi” the cat. Please know how much you are both loved and cared for by me. I wish I could be there with you now but my health is not able to at this point in time. I love you both and will always love Ms. P. !
Aunt Elaine,
I am so sorry I won’t be able to say my goodbyes in person, but please know how incredibly missed you will be. I have so many memories with you and appreciate you always loving me! Christmas at Lainey’s was the best growing up and all of our VBS days! Rest in Peace in the arms of Jesus. Please give Grandma a hug and kiss from me! I love you, Aunt Elaine. 💞🙏
That Elaine has left us is, for me, such a difficult reality to process. I had fully expected her to recover and I think that was her expectation as well. Her loss leaves such a hole in my heart. She was my aunt who played an outsized role after the passing of my own mother, and in this she was the epitome of unconditional love. You knew that wherever you were, whatever the circumstances, you always had a place to come to in Pittsburgh.
The city itself had no greater patron, no greater cheerleader than Elaine. She loved Pittsburgh and everything about Pittsburgh: the Point, the Cathedral of Learning, Primanti’s, Aliquippa, the steel mills, pierogis and on and on and on. Herself half-Croatian, half-Serbian, she embraced the ethnic diversity of the region. When it came to sports, the nuances of individual sports might at times have escaped her, but just mention the Steelers, the Bucs, Pitt, the Pens or any other local team and she was Black-and-Gold personified. She didn’t know the balk rule, but she knew Maz. She didn’t know what a go-route was, but she knew the Immaculate Reception. She didn’t speak Spanish, but she knew about Clemente and cherished what he meant to the city.
How I will miss her! She was a gift, a continual source of joy and love and happiness in my life. She looms large in my very earliest memories, and she will be in my last thoughts. She loved and never hesitated in expressing her love, to me or to anyone else. I consider myself so very fortunate, so privileged, to have had her as my aunt.
