Edward Robert Bozek, Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 10th after a brief illness.  Ed was born on October 28, 1958, to the late Edward Robert Bozek, Sr. and Yvonne (Ruby) Bozek in Rochester, PA.

After graduating from the Rochester Area School District, he went on to attend Penn State University where he began his lifelong passion for Nittany Lion Football while earning his degree in Business.

Ed had a long and very successful career at Federated Investors, Inc., in Pittsburgh where he formed many lifelong friendships with both colleagues and clients.

Ed reveled in the privilege of growing up during the glory days of Pittsburgh sports.  In recent years, however, he would frequently voice his great displeasure at the current state of these once storied franchises.

An avid fly fisherman, Ed was most at ease in any trout stream at daybreak.  He also took great joy in sharing his love of hockey by coaching his sons’ hockey teams.

In addition to his mother, Edward is survived by his wife of 32 yrs., Patricia J. (McAlpine) Bozek.  Two sons, Eugene D. Bozek, Dormont & Kevin E. Bozek, Moon Twp. a brother, David Bozek and a sister, Amy Grunloh (Howard).; a nephew; and two nieces.  He is also survived by his beloved dog and constant companion, Fredo. 

The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to the many dedicated and brilliant UPMC doctors, surgeons, nurses and staff for their compassion and tireless commitment to helping us through this difficult time.

Friends will be received on Thursday May 15th from 11AM with the time of service at 4PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Private interment will take place at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Rochester, PA.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Ed was far too young! I will be praying for you and your boys as you grieve this loss, that our Heavenly Father will fill this great void in your life, that only He can feel. Draw close to Him and may He hold your family tight and comfort you in this difficult time.
