Fred William Felton

Retired Master Sergeant, Fred William Felton, 57 years of age, passed away on August 11, 2023 in his home in Beaver Pennsylvania surrounded by loved ones.

Fred was born January 17, 1966, in Marietta Ohio to Mary Carpenter and the late Forrest Felton.

Fred was very dedicated to his work, many hobbies and his endless passion for his love of this country, which included pridefully serving ten years of active duty for the United States Army as a combat engineer ending his career as Master Sergeant Fred Felton. Fred then continued leading the 459th Army Reserves out of Bellaire Ohio and retired in Moon Township PA.

A Commander in Sistersville West Virginia, VFW Post 6327 in 2004 and a Finance Officer in Weirton West Virginia for the American Legion Post 10 in 2010.

Working his way from ‘punching pots’ to a foreman, Fred was a strong leader at Ormet Primary Aluminum and working there for over seventeen years until they closed in 2012. At that time making a move out of state to Missouri and working at Noranda Aluminum as a supervisor until 2014. In 2014 Fred found a company that became family with Nemak, where he held the title of Alloy Superintendent from 2014 – 2023.

Fred held many titles, but he was most proud of his strong walk-in faith and his close relationship with God. He was a member of the Woodburn Baptist Church in Woodburn Kentucky. Spreading and sharing the love of Jesus everywhere he could.

A devoted husband to his beautiful wife Cynthia (Ferrand) Felton. Married on April 30th of 2008 Fred & Cynthia celebrated fifteen beautiful years together. Their life they shared included many hobbies together including long rides on their motorcycle, many beautiful days spent on the golf course, strikes and a few spares in the bowling alleys as well as a house divided sports season for the love of the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers and a love for the ocean where their lives originally united as one when they said their vowels.

Freds love for Ohio State Football and Cincinnati Reds will forever be felt thanks to the loud cheers you may have experienced if you watched any game with him. O-H-I-O!

Fred held a great pride to this title, as he proclaimed himself as a ‘girl dad.’ Endlessly pouring into his daughters who lived in three different states, this may have been no easy task, but to Dad it came effortlessly. From school age to adulthood you knew dad was always going to be there for the small and big milestones along the way.

Pap. A favorite of all the titles. A Pap to six grandchildren who were the absolute light of his eye. As a Pap he was the humble, most modest and yet the most successful person in every aspect in life. He was an incredible sensitive person, who helped everyone in need.

Fred was proceeded in death by his brother Harvey Felton, father Forest Felton and stepfather Richard Carpenter.

Fred is survived by his wife, Cynthia Felton of Beaver, Pennsylvania. His Children, Atoshia Mallory of Mars, Pennsylvania, Ashley (Craig) Ferrell of Proctor, West Virginia and Princhelle Felton of Clarksville Tennessee. His Grandchildren, Madison & Harley Mallory, Wesley & Ian Ferrell and Kamryn Ellis and Sincere Martin. His Mother, Mary Carpenter of Supply, North Carolina.
