Doris (Johnson) Jockers
Doris Johnson Jockers, 88, formerly of Moon Township, PA passed away on December 20, 2020 in Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.
She was born on December 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Harry A. & Mary Lowstetter Johnson. Doris met the love of her life, Robert in German class at Pitt and they were married on December 17, 1955. Doris graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology. She worked as a chemist for H. J. Heinz Company and Westinghouse. Throughout the years, she was involved in Junior Women’s Club, Moon Township Garden Club, West Hills Art League, Moon Township Historical Society, and P.E.O. Doris was an avid painter and stain glass creator, who loved to play golf and bridge. She and her family loved to travel and she was happiest spending family time together.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey and wife Eleanor (Walsh) of Moon Township, PA; daughter Jill Boyle and her husband Gerald of Gibsonia, PA; son Bradley Jockers of North Port, FL; daughter Lisa Pagano and husband Daniel of Melbourne, FL; and son Darryl Jockers of Northglenn, CO. Proud grandmother to Andrew, wife Michal; Matthew, Rachel and Tim Jockers; Erin and Aubrey Boyle; Anthony and Paige Pagano; and great-grandson son Liam Jockers. Doris is also survived by her brother, Harry Johnson and his wife Judee; brother-in-law James Jackson; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Dr. Robert A. Jockers; infant son Robert; sisters Carol Jackson and Mary Jane Roderus and her husband, William Roderus.
She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. is in charge of arrangements.
