  1. To the DeNardo family, Along with every one else in the city who watched his weather forecasts my family knew your father a little differently. My husband plowed your dad’s driveway for many years in the snow and always had good things to say about him. When my husband unexpectantly passed away in 2012 your dad was the first person in line at the first viewing and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and my sons. May you find comfort in these good memories that everyone is sharing with you at this difficult time.

  2. My deepest sympathy goes out to the DeNardo family. Mr. DeNardo was a great meteorologist as well as a fine human being and humanitarian. God rest his soul.

Growing up we all would watch his daily forecasts and he will be a person who we will never forget. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. 8. Although, like so many others, we did not know Joe personally, we felt like we knew him just from seeing him on TV for so many years. Our family extends sympathy & prayers to Joe’s entire family. May he rest in peace.

  9. I grew up in front of the Martins Ferry Hospital and therefore near Mary and Joe’s Luncheonette. Your grandmother and great-grandmother (Mrs. Nellie Pucci) were special neighbors and friends. I was there countless days buying candy and ice cream and, in my jr. high years, movie magazines. My father was a Lutheran minister and occasionally would bring someone needing a hand-out for lunch to their restaurant. He was always touched when Mrs. Pucci would say, “Oh, the poor soul,” and add a free piece of pie to the meal. I didn’t know your father (he was gone from town by then) but he had a wonderful pair of women in his life. My sympathy to your and your family.
