Betty Adams

Alpha Elizabeth “Betty” (Smith) Adams Betty Adams, 88, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016, in Franciscan Manor, Patterson Heights, after a long and fulfilled life. Born March 13, 1928, in West Bridgewater, she was the daughter of Alfred and Alpha Elizabeth Smith. Betty graduated from Beaver High School, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Adams Sr., her son, William E. Adams Jr.; her daughter in law, Nancy Lee Batto Adams; twin sons, John Russell and Robert Jay Adams; and a nephew, Gary Lee Cooper. Betty worked alongside her husband for many years at their business, Central R.V. Sales, Fallston. She retired to raise her grandchildren, and was also instrumental in helping raise her great grandchildren. Her yard was a gathering place for neighborhood children, where summer dasy were spent swimming and winter days were spent sled riding. Betty leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter and son-in law, Nancy and Chuck Daw, of Beaver Falls; her grandson William E. Adams III and Rebecca Adams of Economy; granddaughter, Wendy Jo and Robert McQuiston, of Wampum; her sister, Patricia and Chester Cooper of Rochester; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Ryan Adams, Colin and Brody McQuiston. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Betty dearly. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Rochester (502 Adams St.) where a funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Gregory Clagg, of Grace Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
