Anna K. Krechowski

Anna “Ann” Katherine (Glovak) Krechowski, 90, formerly of Daugherty Twp., passed away on October 19, 2016 following a lengthily battle with Alzheimer’s disease which took her from us for the first time many years ago. Ann was born September 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Blaze and Anna (Zapsic) Glovak of Rochester. On June 29, 1946, Ann married her beloved husband Michael Joseph Krechowski, and they raised a family together. She was a life long member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester. In 1992, Ann retired from the Medical Center, Beaver. She loved to travel with her sister Mildred and dear friend Betty whenever possible. Ann’s real joy was spending time with her family. Her home was always the gathering place for Sunday dinners and holidays. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael in 1991, and by her brothers, George and John Glovak; sisters, Francis Duraney and Mildred Stiblo and grandson-in-law Daniel Markovitz. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Krechowski , Rochester and Sandra Sloma, Daugherty Twp.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Jr. and Norma, New Brighton, David and Paula, North Sewickley Twp. and Mark Sr. and Marie, New Brighton; seven grandchildren, Emily (Corfield) Duchene, Rochester Twp., Kelly Krechowski, North Sewickley Twp. , Stacie Sloma, Mark Krechowski Jr., Mitchell Krechowski and Amy (Krechowski) Bobin all of New Brighton, and Beth (Krechowski) Markovitz, Baden; five great grandchildren, Anna and Ian Duchene, Rochester Twp., Zachary Bobin, New Brighton, Caleb and Elijah Markovitz, Baden and a sister, Marie Young of Allentown, PA. The family would like to thank all those at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation as well has Vitas Hospice for their compassionate and loving care of their mother. Family and friends will be received on Friday, from 2-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Rochester (502 Adams St.) A mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday at 10 AM in the St. Cecilia’s Parish with Fr. William Talentino, followed by interment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations in Ann’s
